What do the positions in the Celtic cross mean?
The larger cross consists of two lines that overlay the smaller cross. The horizontal line (Cards 1, 3 and 4) shows time moving from the past on the left into the future on the right. The vertical line (Cards 1, 5 and 6) is the querent’s consciousness moving from unconscious on the bottom to conscious mind on the top.
How do you read tarot spreads?
A three-card spread has the reader pull three cards from the deck after it’s been shuffled and halved by the querent (more on that in a moment). Usually, the first called pulled represents the past, the second represents the present, and the third represents the future.
How do you read Celtic Cross card 2?
The first card symbolizes the present moment or what is influencing the querent or the situation. The second card is “what crosses you” or the obstacles or opposing forces the querent may be facing. I always read the second card right side up, no matter how it lands. Pay attention to the energy between the two cards.
